Crane Cameras

Crane cameras significantly enhance safety and precision in crane operations by providing operators with crucial visibility of blind spots and load positioning.
Construction and infrastructure projects involving crane operations present obvious hazards. Poor visibility and blind spots can lead to serious accidents, endangering the crane operator and workers while potentially causing costly damage to materials and equipment.
Transmon Engineering offers a wide range of crane camera systems to help improve site safety by reducing the risk of an incident occurring due to poor operator visibility. By providing clear views of critical areas, load movements, and potential hazards, our crane cameras help operators make confident decisions even in the most challenging industrial environments.
With over 25 years of experience in materials handling safety, we provide advanced crane camera systems that are suitable for various types of cranes, including:
- Rough-Terrain Cranes
- Mobile Cranes
- Crawler Cranes
- Telescopic Cranes
- Tower Cranes
- Overhead Cranes
- Large Gantry Cranes

Wireless Crane Cameras
The Wireless Crane Camera is attached magnetically to the crane. This allows for easy installation as well as re-positioning as and when required, perfect for busy crane operations. This magnetic application gives the operator a clear vision of the load being manoeuvred, ensuring accurate and safe handling throughout the lifting operation.
The Wireless Crane Camera sends live feed pictures to a 7-inch colour screen monitor, which is mounted unobtrusively inside the crane cabin. The screen is also multi-channel, allowing for the possibility of installing multiple Wireless Crane Cameras. With a wireless range of 100m, this product is suitable for all crane operations where enhanced visibility is crucial for safety and precision. Our Wireless Crane Camera is suitable for the following types of cranes:
- Overhead Cranes
- Crawler Cranes
- Mobile Cranes
- Telescopic Cranes
- Gantry Cranes
- Rough-Terrain Cranes

Crane Driver Aid Cameras
Optional digital video recording is available with our Crane Driver Aid Cameras, helping to increase operator accountability while providing valuable footage for training purposes and incident reviews. This crane camera system features an automatic iris that compensates for changing light conditions, ensuring clear visibility regardless of the working environment or time of day. Suitable for the following types of cranes:
- Tower Cranes
- Crawler Cranes
- Mobile Cranes
- Telescopic Cranes
- Rough-Terrain Cranes

Pedestrian Alert Cameras
Our intelligent Pedestrian Alert Camera systems detect the presence of personnel in the working area and provide the crane operator with both visual and audio alerts when a person is detected. We have a range of Pedestrian Alert Cameras that can be easily fitted to cranes or other large materials handling equipment. Connecting this system to our iTEch speed controller means you can automatically reduce crane speed when a pedestrian is detected, and resume speed when clear. For use on the following types of crane:
- Crawler Cranes
- Mobile Cranes
- Telescopic Cranes
- Rough-Terrain Cranes

Wireless Recording Systems
Recording is triggered by an impact sensor, or a compatible TE access keypad or speed sensor. The entire event is captured from various camera angles, so you can gain a full understanding of what happened before, during and after an incident. Management can use the recorded footage to improve operator accountability, monitor equipment usage, verify checklist adherence and analyse impacts during accidents or near-misses for training purposes. The time-stamped recordings provide clear documentation of working hours, breaks and shift patterns. This system is suitable for the following cranes:
- Tower Cranes
- Crawler Cranes
- Mobile Cranes
- Telescopic Cranes
- Rough-Terrain Cranes
